Opening batter Ben Duckett reflected on what he described as the "best" innings of his Nottinghamshire career to date, after tallying a colossal 218 on day two of the Vitality County Championship contest at Edgbaston.

Duckett paired with Dillon Pennington on the morning of the second day, the bowler holding up the other end superbly to put on a 44-run ninth wicket partnership which saw Duckett claim his double ton and earn the visitors a fourth batting bonus point.

He also commended batting partners Ben Slater and Jack Haynes for their contributions, as well as the bowling attack who took three crucial early scalps in Warwickshire's innings as they ended the day on 71/3.
